This project was to develop our understanding of design principles, like balance, contrast, alignment, and hierarchy. We built conceptual skills as they pertain to manipulating the viewers path throughout our magazine grid layouts.
Process:
To start my process I wanted to draw out the grid systems I wanted to use for my project. I wanted to do something that was more dynamic and had more movement across the page.
Iterations:
I wanted to experiment with how different text box shapes could influence the flow of the page. I wanted a picture of my artist on a stage to give the visual of a spotlight and the text flowing around it. I struggled with page and how the image and text hierarchy affected the page layout.
